Boxy Tee - Painted Akiba

Akihabara is a neighborhood in Tokyo known for its many electronics and anime shops. For foreign visitors it's a very modern and chaotic place, so there was something really cool about seeing its streetscape in the quiet reflection of a nearby building. The yellow glass adds an aged patina that also sparkles, resulting in a sort of future nostalgia.

The frame around the photo is hand-painted with the year the photo was taken. The tee is also pre-washed, resulting in some variances across prints. These are expected and, as with people, we should embrace them.
